es gibt Dinge auf der Welt, die hätte man nicht herstellen müssen. BlueDriver ist so
ein Artikel.
Unter vielen Scanner versucht dieser Hersteller sein Produkt an den mann zu bringen
zu einen erhöhten Preis ( 111€ ).
Andere Konkurrenzprodukte machen das gleiche bzw. besser für viel weniger Geld.
Was mich besonders nervt, wenn man mehr als 5 Sensoren beobachtet, wird die Abtastrate sehr gering.
Mein alter Scanner, den ich vor ca. fünf Jahren gekauft habe ( ca 30€), gibt es solche Probleme gar nicht.

While the BlueDriver may be a fantastic choice in North America, it is just not the case in Europe. First, their main marketing advantage, the database of repairs tips, is not available outside the USA or CA. Secondly and most importantly, their advanced scanning feature, such as SRS errors, is also not available for EU cars such as Mercedes. So, it reduces to about the same, or fewer features, than other a much cheaper Bluetooth devices.
In summary, I just do not recommend this device if you live outside the USA or CA.

Every time I turn on my Ford Mondeo MK4, it reminds me I need to fill up the water tank for the windshield wipers and that a brakelight needs replacing. So there have to be some diagnostic codes, while I’m really more interested what my transmission had to say about sudden failure and recovery in a panic stricken moment while I was zooming along at 150mph on a nice empty three lane highway in the middle of Germany at a comfy 30°C outside.
Yet this device (or rather the app) won’t even identfy my car nor give me anything but a couple of basic sensor readings, rpms, temperatures etc.
To get there was a pain already, the minute I got the device paired (peered?) to the phone, there was a firmware update available, which from many long minutes of wait seemed to exhaust my battery as it required me to stand put yet have the car powered up. Need I say that it didn’t catch the batter-low indicator later?
As a matter of fact it seemed to not have survived the firmware update, as it started flashing madly in red immediately after the 99% complete mark…
That was the first time I wanted to send it back, until I re-read the FAQ section and noticed that a flashing red light was actually benign, solid red is the bad one. It just means you have to re-pair the device.
That’s right, re-pair, every time, not just reconnect a known friend, no. Delete the old, find the new (there is dozens of blue tooth devices even on an empty parking lot, so go try to find the one you really want).
That got me the attention of a police patrol, but not one yota of additional data.
In short: This device is a complete dud and total waste of time.
From the comments I see here, it may work with US cars, but I bought this from amazon.de for use at home in Germany. It made no mention of any territorial limitations and Ford is a global company.

Don’t buy this s…. piece. It may works on ’some‘ cars, but definitely not on MOST cars. After asking the service why they do not tell before buying that this useless tool is not working they ansered:
„….. I will see if we can make it more clear so this doesn’t happen in the future. If you have any other questions or suggestions please contact us any time!…“
„…Unfortunately if you do purchase a BlueDriver and it is unable to connect we will not be able to provide technical assistance or a return shipping label.“

This product is easy to use but it was supposed to be for EU made cars and not only for USA made cars. I have tested it on 2 different cars (VW and Skoda) and it did not work properly.
